The ability to find the light when life gets in the way is a super power. I often ask people who are struggling the following:
What is one small thing you can do today to bring a little joy?
Sometimes I send a song, a link to an uplifting podcast, meditation video or some free content like the one below.
This week on time for a mojo injection episode 167, I chat with the incredible clinical hypnotherapist & intuitive life coach, Gillian Dalgliesh.
I have had the pleasure of working with Gillian and WOW she just has this amazing gift of tapping into any pain, repressed emotions or self sabotaging behaviours. Listen below or at your fave podcast app. I even get a spiritual reading which was super cool and having had time to reflect, it makes a lot of sense.
Like myself, Gillian is obsessed with love and spreading it far and wide. Over the years, we have both found a lot of tools that not only help others, but they have really helped ourselves. As Gillian says on the podcast:
‘My energy is turbo driven by love. I love my clients. I look forward to giving them a warm welcome. I love what I do. I am so passionate about sharing the knowledge and tools and methods and awareness. I think when we sit in love, pure love, it is so powerful. There is no darkness when you are sitting in the fire of love. The light that shines from the fire can kill any negative energy.’
Perhaps you are going through a lot of ‘life issues’. Gillian very kindly shared some of her past trauma and how she was able to pull herself out of what could be described by many as a dark pit. It is how we react that counts. I love to cry and get out any pain. I remember in January 2020, just sitting and crying with my parents and my brother. The tears were flooding out and wouldn’t stop. It was so needed and so healing. There are so many healthy ways to let out our pain, allowing us to process, heal and thrive. We are here to thrive and love life. We are here to make the most of each day. Sometimes we just need to be open to receiving help.
When I had my first session with Gillian, I could feel tears dripping down. She was able to knock down the walls that were holding me back. She was able to remind me that I am perfect as I am and I have always been enough. So are you and so have you. We ALL deserve to be happy and healthy.
My feelings about love have changed over the years. I understand why people who lacked it may struggle to show it. I also understand how powerful it can feel when we take time to look after ourselves and grow. If we are not growing, then life can feel a little dull. When I think about love, I often think about what I can give to others rather than what I can get. But we must also be open to receiving the love we need. Don’t fear love because it is the most precious thing that we have. Embrace it. Use music to get excited about it and think about bringing more love into your life. Only YOU know what feels right for you and what a healthy type of love means. We are all so unique so stay curious and open minded. Start to journal on what love means to you. What feels healthy and aligned? What feels safe? What feels exciting? You got this.
Gillian, thank you for all you do. You are a truly gifted and authentic healer. I am so excited to watch you grow. Oh and to embrace my incredible angel rapper haha.
