Loads of you have been asking about my nails, I suspect because there has been a lot of images of my hands going around as I sign books and wave them about giving talks on subjects I am passionate about – the big one of 2018 is helping people to get their mojo back.
I use my hands a lot (easy tiger) and have started to really appreciate the colours I go for and think carefully about which shade to go with depending on the month. I have always been drawn to the colour blue. The beach and being by water is my happy place, because although I love putting all my energy into my content, I have a very chilled out, calm side. I crave a bit of peace.
I have been working with a stylist (Diane Curtis, more on her later) and it has been facinating thinking about colours and the impact they can have on our mood and also confidence. She shared some useful tips about the colour blue. Blue is calming (see ya anxiety) and is great for communicating in a mindful and diplomatic way. It’s great for job interviews and public speaking events. Blue is a colour to wear that shows others can rely on you and that you are in control. Turquoise is a great colour to wear if your immune system is low . We are less likely to overeat from a blue plate 😛 I’m off to Ikea ….

It was a no brainer that I would be going for a beautiful shade of blue for my dress and nails last weekend. So off to see my friends at the Wax bar I trotted, to get the skin silky smooth and the hands and toes looking worthy of a book launch in a castle. I was delighted with the way they turned out and so many commented on them which was fab. The Wax bar have an epic colour choice, that a lot of you will have seen across my Insta stories, but I didn’t expect them to have the EXACT same shade of my dress – impressive. They also have loads of different foils and glitters to add a bit of sparkle.
