Review – Paw Patrol Live comes to Edinburgh (We’ll be there on the double)

Paw Patrol Live - Edinburgh

We had our only wedding of 2018 on Saturday.  What a perfect excuse to go all out and get the full pamper.  I’m talking hair, makeup, nails – the full works.  There was one small problem though.  Paw Patrol Live was coming to town and I had kindly been offered press tickets.  I simply HAD to be there to see the kid’s reaction.  I HAD TO.  I managed to get tickets to the 10am showing which was a big relief.  I really wanted to be there because I am a big sap and is there much better as a parent than seeing the magic through those little eyes?!

The place was PACKED.  Our seats were amazing and the kids were buzzing.  I had rollers in my hair because there was no time for a pre-wedding hair appointment.  I hear this is normal behaviour down South?  I am starting the trend in Scotland, you heard it here first.

The moment I knew I had made the right choice to ditch my hair pampering for a theatre packed with excitable kids was as soon as we heard those famous words:

PAW Patrol, PAW Patrol
We’ll be there on the double
Whenever there’s a problem
‘Round Adventure Bay
Ryder and his team of pups
Will come and save the day
Marshall, Rubble, Chase
Rocky, Zuma, Skye
Yeah! They’re on the way!
PAW Patrol, PAW Patrol
Whenever you’re in trouble
PAW Patrol, PAW Patrol
We’ll be there on the double
No job’s too big
No pup’s too small!
PAW Patrol, we’re on a roll!
So here we go
PAW Patrol

We sang those words at the top of our lungs and the atmosphere was electric.  I loved watching the sheer wonder and awe on Charlie’s face, he was blown away.  Chase is currently the love of his life and what can I say, he had the moves.

The entire show is 1.5 hours long from start to finish and that includes a 15 minute intermission in the middle. This was perfect for us.  The set is super bright and colourful and the tunes are so easy to sing and dance along to. Bonnie loved all of the truck action on the stage too.

I even managed to fit in some smokey eyes with my friends at Hourglass so happy days indeed.  Mum on the run.  I think you will agree I deserved some champers later and don’t worry – I had it x
