I love hitting the shore, it takes me back to the days I worked in the media hub as a Campaign Manager. Those days were wild. Work hard, play like an animal. Leith remains the creative quarter of Edinburgh and the vibes are always right up my street. Let’s face it, there are some awesome restaurants down that way. Mental note MUST MUST try Chop House this year.
A fortnight ago I was kindly invited along to the lovely Malmaison for cocktails and delicious food. What a way to kick off February. Tip – they do a delicious margarita, oh baby. We were then escorted round to check out the new Sesh salon which is just beautiful.
The team are fantastic and the salon layout is huge and buzzing. We were given all sorts of tips and even shown what our scalp looks like under a microscope. That was interesting – I’m not going to post those images but it was great to hear more about how we can really nurture our hair and scalp.
A good hair day for me does wonders in terms of my confidence so I was delighted with my luxurious blowdry. As was my hot date for the night, my old and dear friend the very talented Cherith Walter aka artist Cherith Harrison.
Edinburgh really is a village. It was lovely to meet up with Isla from Opulence Magazine, who I had sent an article to be feautured on her website that very day. I also bumped into Caoifhionn (pronounced Kee-lin) from Wear What Works, who had kindly given me some wardrobe tips the weekend previous.
I would most definetelty suggest you check out the new salon and then nip round to Mal for a cocktail or 4 afterwards. Afterall, beautiful hair should be shown off.
Happiness is a good hair day. Thanks so much for a fab evening folks, we were very impressed.
