I am delighted that Edinburgh will celebrate it’s first wellbeing festival at the end of this month, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January. Wellness is becoming so cool. The stigma of all things mental health is getting huge chunks smashed out of it. One word – deLIGHTed.
Since I launched Mummy Jojo, just over two years ago, I have noticed a huge shift. The royal family opening up was a turning point. We have all seen the statistics. Everyone knows someone who has suffered with their mental health and we are ALL vulnerable. Yes, you. Yes, me. Often the people you would least expect.
The weekend will involve a packed programme of feel good activities and self-improvement talks which will transform the city’s Assembly Rooms into one huge wellness party. Pass me the glow sticks baby, I cannot wait.
Activities across the weekend include stimulating discussions from a range of health experts including BBC 1’s Doctor in the House Dr Rangan Chatterjee, Dr Hazel Wallace (The Food Medic) and fitness blogger Chloe Madeley, alongside talks from bestselling authors Jasmine Hemsley and celebrity chef Tom Kerridge. Visitors can enjoy Clubbercise and Bollywood classes as well as the opportunity to learn new moves from David Beckham’s yoga instructor Shona Vertue.
I am greatly looking forward to attending this event and am also delighted to be offering 2 free weekend tickets to it. Please head over to Mummy Jojo Facebook and view my pinned post to enter. Good luck #inittowinit.
