2018 – Sass, Ass, Class. Happy Hogmanay

Edinburgh author and blogger

It’s time to get nasty! Storm Dylan can move over, bad ass mojo is coming out to play and it is going to be some ride.  I hope you will come with me.

I’ve been asked about new year resolutions but I prefer to call it goal digging.  Here at MJ social, 2018 will be more goal digging at the things I am passionate about.  Wellness, fitness, straight talking and entertainment.  I also have an exciting announcement coming in January.

Firstly though, I want to take the time to say THANK YOU SO SO MUCH to everyone that has supported all that I am doing here at Mummy Jojo.  I often get messages that start with…. I’m really sorry to bother you I know you are busy but…… or I hope you don’t mind me messaging you but….. then the message will thank me for either an article or a talk or a video that has been of help.  Let me repeat – people are apologising because they are taking the time out of their day to thank me.  It doesn’t make any sense!  But I get it.  Because often I assume people that inspire me are too busy.  They don’t have time to respond to my thoughts on their work.  Guess what?  A lot of them do.  A lot of them absolutely love feedback.  Even if they get loads of messages a day.  We are all busy. Everyone’s time is precious and using it to send a message of encouragement to someone is a fantastic and kind thing to do.

Inspirers need inspired.  Now, I have to cringe at that comment a little because it sounds rather self-indulgent.  But here is the part that counts.

We are all inspirers AND we can all choose to be inspired, not intimidated.

Every single one of us has the capability to be a source of inspiration to someone.  How amazing is that?  Find your passion, something you can put your energy into because you love it so much.  You love it that you would do it for free.  Then watch the magic unfold because my promise to you is this:

Hard work at something you love will 100% always pay off in one way or another.  But without passion we have no energy so choose wisely.  Because if you want to achieve your goals you need energy by the bucket load. It needs to be something that gets you leaping out of bed, or at least making notes as you lie feeling cosy.

2018 is the year of Sass, ass and class.  But please remember, no matter how much sass, ass and class you have, we are all still mentally vulnerable.  Never get cocky.

I also want to say that sass, ass and class do not discriminate.  Mummy Jojo has never been solely about empowering girls.  It has been about empowering people.  I don’t care what age you are, how you look, your gender, how much money you have – I care that you enjoy the ride here on this earth.  I care so much, too much at times. That passion isn’t going anywhere so come with me in 2018 please and let’s find our finest mojo together.

Here’s to you. All the best at the bells.
