I have been a massive fan of ESPA products since I discovered the brand on a spa break at Gleneagles in 2010. It was actually my husband who pointed the products out to me as they smell amazing. I think he regrets it a little now.
I am a sucker for a good massage and a facial – in fact ANY pampering in general. It is so important to take time out in such a fast paced world. Also having a treatement forces me to work on my phone addiction by turning it off! I think a good massage can sometimes be better than a trip to the GP.
As for creating the spa at home – ESPA Skincare is my current favourite spa brand. I love the products because:
1 – as my husband rightly pointed out – they smell AMAZING.
2 – they are against animal testing.
3 – they use great quality, natural ingredients.
4 – I am a sucker for nice packaging.
5 – the customer care is fantastic.
6 – the products create the spa experience at home for me.
7 – I love any products that help me to chill out.
ESPA products don’t have to break the bank either. Here are some of my ESPA must have items. I hope this helps if you need some gift inspiration.
ESPA Hand Wash and Hand Lotion
This is a staple for our downstairs loo.
People always comment about how nice it smells and I love the packaging. It lasts ages.
ESPA do loads of different kinds of essential oils. I am a huge fan of the fitness oil and the soothing oil. They smell amazing and the soothing oil helps to put me to sleep. If I can blag a massage from the hubs then ideal. If not I put a few drops in my bath. A good nights rest (when kids allow) keeps me feeling balanced.
Last night after body pump I put the soothing candle on and some oil in the bath. I slept amazing until our 4 year old ran through at 1am and then 1 year old joined in shortly after. Quality of sleep not quantity? Pass me a coffee.
The candles are stunning and create the spa experience at home. I can close my eyes and pretend I am back in Gleneagles totally chilling out.
ESPA Salt Scrubs
These are beautiful products. The oils that are left on the skin after the salt feel and smell amazing. My ideal time to do this would be early on a Saturday morning (if using the detoxifying or invigorating scrub). Handy before applying fake tan also. Otherwise in a hot bath later at night if using the relaxing version.
ESPA Nourishing Lip Treatment
They are soft and silky and you guessed it, smell zen like.
ESPA Shampoo and Conditioner
Again – love the packaging, love the smell and my hair looks super shiny after using these. I think these are nice products to use for a change. I also like to treat myself to professional salon shampoo and conditioner. I got a row from my stylist for using cheap supermarket brands full of chemicals.
My kids always rain on my parade when I do my skin care routine. I often don’t bother in the morning unless I have help as it’s too much of a mare. I use some foaming cleaner in the shower and then throw some make up on – often once they are strapped safely in the back of the car. Otherwise the carpets get caked in blusher.
Sometimes though the kids join in and they love this cleaner. It has marshmallow in it and is gentle on the skin. I love kissing their wee marshmallow smelling faces after they use it.
ESPA Facial Wash
To keep the hubs happy I often buy the mens range and we share this. It is a lovely foaming cleanser and wakes me up. It smells just as good as the female version. I love the male products too – great gift ideas.
Right I could go on all day. Can you tell I am passionate about ESPA? I will end with one of my favourites.
ESPA Optimal Skin Pro Serum
I love this oil based optimal skin pro serum. My skin gets a little dehydrated in the winter and this stuff is the golden ticket. I stick it on before bed and it smells divine.
