We don’t get to spend as much time together as I would like. When we do you have this power over me. You slow me down. You are addictive. Even when I have a long list of things to do you pull me in. As that blast of heat soaks into my skin I feel calm. I feel at home.
I want to spend time under you – you keep me longing for more.
You feel even better when I am in the water – be it the ocean, a lake or a pool. I would happily take a paddling pool too. You give me a glow and I always look my best after having quality days with you.
You have this nack for making places look their most beautiful when you are around. You have been there with me on some of my wildest days. You make me smile. You give me energy.
I love dancing under you. So many great tunes remind me of long days spent together. The beach is never quite the same if you are not there.
You make me want to let my hair down. A cold cocktail, glass of fizz or wine tastes so much better when you are with me.
You are at your most beautiful first thing in the morning and later at night. I can’t take my eyes off you.
I love the fact you showed up on my wedding day – I will never forget the way you looked that night as you left us. You were out in full flow the day I became a Mum for the first time.
Sometimes I like it when you give me a bit space too. When I ran my first marathon you were pretty hard on me. It was bittersweet because you made the route even more beautiful. You slowed me down though – you are a force to be reckoned with.
We have spent a lot of time together the past two weeks. We have made some great memories. The moments where I lay soaking up your warmth I couldn’t help but reminisce of older days. So many moments and places and you have been there with me.

You are a beautiful partner to a coffee and a good book. You signify positive vibes, laughter with family and friends, vitamin D, salty air and the smell of sun cream.
I am not going to see you as much for a while. I hope we get some nice bright, blue Autumn days together. I love being out walking or running with you – crunching down on orange leaves. I am going to miss you but I hope we have many more happy days together. Keep shining bright my burning star.
