Have your Christmas gifts nailed by November – a few ideas x

As mentioned in my post a couple of weeks ago, one of my resolutions for this Christmas is to have the majority of my gifts nailed by November.  How did it get to the middle of the month? #panic! I made a wee list of some of my favourite things and thought I would share them.  Hope it helps those who need some ideas x

I discovered this chilli jam last year from The Chocolate Lounge in Harvey Nicks – amazing.  It goes great with cheeseboards, parma ham, on bagels.  It will not disappoint.  They also do salted caramel chocolate spreads etc if you prefer sweet to spice.  Great for adding to a hamper or a super stocking filler

Penhaligons Blenham Bouquet shower gel is to die for – it smells super fresh and foams up a treat.  This is a unisex product.  The eau de toilette is gorgeous too.  I love going into the shop, always top notch service and it’s a lovely shopping experience. I got Scott the shaving lotion for our wedding anniversary and it is a big hit – smells amazing and apparently feels like silk.  They do candles too, am hoping for one in my stocking (hint hint) x

Magazine subscription – I recently treated myself to a running magazine subscription to keep me motivated to keep running outside through the cold months .  What is the person you are buying for passionate about – fashion (Vogue)?  Interiors (home mags)? Something for everyone really.

We discovered Espa on our first trip to Gleneagles – the stuff is seriously addictive.  The whole range smells amazing and now we don’t get much time for nights away we recreate the spa experience at home.  From shower gels, to bath oils, face creams to candles – it’s all stunning. There are some good deals online and for ease Harvey Nicks stock it (as do Urban Village and One Spa if you are Edinburgh based).

Younique lip stains – these are amazing.  I discovered them when my Sister in Law set up her make up business back in Summer.  She has passion for makeup by the absolute bucket-load and knows the fab products inside out.  My makeup bag is now on fire.  The super lash masacra, foundations, primer etc are all fab.  What I love about the lip stain is that it gives volume and is super long lasting.  I can cover the babes in kisses too and it doesn’t go everywhere. Some days I don’t have time for make up but I always have time for a bit lippy! – you can look into free delivery and other offers at facebook page – superlashbeauty VIP group

The White Company Seychells range is beautifully packaged and smells divine.  I love their bath foam, it comes in a gorgeous glass decanter which adds a little chic to any bathroom

Wine and Champagne two of my favourite things. I love a nice wine shop but our area is limited here 😧 so I have found my love for majestic again, delighted to have one a 2 minute drive away.  They do a gorgeous champagne called Drapier which is one of those vintage types that is hard to find in the supermarkets.  For a special red I would recommend something from St Julien – great for those cheese boards and a nice light Sancerre would wash the turkey down a treat. They currently have pretty decent deals on fizz and wine and have loads of selection at great prices.

Fitness watches – such a large selection out there but if you want something you can bling up a little I spotted these for the fitbit watch.  Healthy with a nice look mixed in –

Spa days/breaks

Love Gleneagles in the snow

Love Blythswood Spa have some super deals, especially if you are prepared to go on a Sunday night .  For a destination hotel, Gleneagles is clearly the top dog of breaks in Scotland, by the sea the McDonald Marine in North Berwick has a nice vibe with a lovely wee outdoor pool and for a city break Blythswood Square in Glasgow is the clear winner.  These hotels usually offer rates on this site, however worth checking direct with the hotel.

Quirky Scottish Art – if you are looking for something personal the lovely Cherith Harrison (now Walter) has some stunning pieces to offer.  I love her passion for animals.  I am a huge fan of her stag aprons, fox and squirrel mugs and selection of totes bags.  The tote bags are great for avoiding all those 5p charges and walking around in style at the same time.  Those recycling bags just don’t cut it !

Not very inspiring

Much more character x

You will see on her website that she relates people to animals.  I am not sure what type of animal I would be but she has a Scottie dog which is perfect for my significant other! Which animal is the person you are buying for and why? I love this website and the talented Cherith (she thinks she is like a bunny but in my eyes she is most definitely a monkey raaaaf)

Now help me out and tell me some of your favourite gift ideas please, time is running out and I really want to keep this Christmas resolution x
